Not Elves! No more stinking Elves!
I just find them to be a cliche. It seems that any fantasy game, film or franchise throws them in to justify themselves. I mean DnD 4th now has two playable Elf races in the PHB and the half-elves (Eladrin are the 'new' elves), it makes me sick that so much creativity is lacking.
Freaking Elves. Though I do like the new Dark Elf/Druchii models from Games Workshop. Go Go Cthulu.
Another thing I'm looking forward to: ANet having a new slate to start to try to regain some trust and dignity. Hopefully no RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO-ups similar to Ursan and not having a clue what their doing with or to the game. Also, in depth lore and choices. If I got to write Prophecies, you'd get the choice to fight against the Charr (pushing North) or flee to the West, along the way you'd have more storyline breaks, like in the adventure books. Completing a single line would unlock a mode not too dissimlar from Hard Mode and allow you to try out the other choice lines.
Also more character customisation, I'm a visual person.
Edit: Fixed quote. It also seems a rooster pecked it's way into my post.

my list would be endless , I've so much points i expect from GW2 or hope that they find their ways into the Game, that I've no clue, where to start my list best.
But one thign i can say:
stop the ***** dictation of which races should be playable, and which not...
I would pesonally want to play as Dwarf, ya even as Dark Elf in GW2 ,but it are such stupid Whiners, like you Talile, which bring Anet on the wrong road with their perma QQ about races, which should not be playable, only because they like them personally not.
But that gives no one the right to forbid others, what they should play, when the developers have the option, to satisfy both sides, because no god damn person will force you later to play an Elfe or whatever, when they would be playable - just ignore them and play only those races, that you like -.-
its the same god damn shit, like with Ursan Blessing - you don't like it ? then don''t ************************* use it !!!!!!!
How often have we to tell you guys of "Ursan Haters&Co." this, until it gets into your vacuum heads ?! Everyone has the free choice of what you want to play, and what not and noone will ever stay in your back pointing with a Shotgun at your head forcing you to do anything, what you don't want -.- so stop the retarded perma bitching about things, that you don#t have to use, when you mustn't to play the game, like you want to play it with your likings.

Hmm,
More Guild hall management tools:
*Guild weapons rack- everything under the sun possilble-when a player "logs" off or leaves the guild- Weapon returns to the rack.
*When an event is happening, say wintersday- would like to "decorate" the Guild Hall with the same themes as the event. Or a possible means to add som features other than NPC's.
*The NPC's purchased in a Guild Hall should be part of the GvG match-in addition to what the map gives you.
* More shires for GvG maps- Health, Flag, whatever other effects can be added. These abilities can be pre-selected per guild as they see fit.
Character Creation-
* ability to "change" the name of your character...at any time.
* More classes are cool.
*If additional levels above 20 are a big issue, maybe add a title.
Other-
I dont mind the grind as long as the end result equals a need. Just selling skills or making skills availible doesnt make a PvP player.
Because a PvP Guild Hall Needs PvE money for sigals and basic set-ups rather than "gold" to purchase enable faction to unlock Guild Hall needs.
Remove gold from the game-only use faction for Armor, Weapons etc- gets rid of gold sellers.
More GvG maps-possibly editable ones.
Im sure i can think of more, but for now...
I will be buying GW2- for all 4 players in my house for each cpu.

And to the same thing I say to that as always: "Ignoring the problems doesn't solve them" - and yes I would consider it a grave and terrible problem to include a sort of Dark Elven race. Dark Elves are one of the most cliche'd and gimmicky aspects of roleplaying games. If you want to play as a mock-Drow, just wait for Warhammer: Online.
That's quite a long swear word by the way.

I would really like to know the word that is censored there. My guess is antidisestablishmentarian, though it doesn't make much sense, and as far as I know, it's not offensive in any way. As for the rest of your post, Phoenix Tears, did you ever think that maybe the developers chose not to include those races simply because they had a desire to be original? It's not just to spite people like you. Some members of the human race, me included, like to be creative and try to avoid the stereotypes that are present in way too many fantasy works these days. Also, the Sylvari are not elves. They are closer to Dryads or wood faeries or something, and let's face it; there aren't many games that will allow you to play as a Dryad (that's how I try to reassure myself, anyway). Although, I do wish they looked a bit more like trees (maybe they will. But the concept art makes me think they will just look like smaller humans with slightly pointy ears).
Anyway, the thing I am looking forward to most is a new start. A new world to explore. As we know, Tyria will be changed drastically. Not only that, but there are bound to be places that we could never have explored in GW1 because of the lack of a Z axis. I will also greatly look forward to jumping off high places, but only if the penalty for death isn't too great. :P

Interesting impression you have there. I am under no illusions that my opinion means anything to Anet and if anyone wants to play an Elf, all the power to them. I just find them terribly cliche. The problem with Elves is that they don't already exist in Tyria and that their nearest couterparts, the Sylvari, had a rather off-handed introduction.
I won't debase someone for playing as an Elf, it's not my place. I just don't like them all that much. I have a similar stance on Vampires; both races just strike me as being overused and an excuse to not to be creative. Tengu would be far better than Elves, but Dwarves, while cool, (I have a Dwarf Cleric in 4th) have been all but wiped out in the 200 year gap twit GW1 and 2.
What ANet wants to do with their playable races is their choice. If they want to include evils (good, evil, neutral) they can go ahead and do that, they'd just better work damn hard to make them fit into the history. Oh, and no feline-anthro's, they're just as cliche; the world needs more big-ass bugs.
Edit: After picking up the post just now I have realised something: Vampires do exist. My sister got a letter stating in bold that somebody wants her blood. I must now amend my stance on Vampires. Good day
